The AACC has been helping with the smooth integration of the Iraqi, Syrian, and Egyptian refugees integrate into the American communities of Central Florida, AACC recently hosted a meeting which brought various entities from the Orange County community together. Our goal is to  ensure a friendly and efficient transition for the incoming Syrian refugees.

A special thanks to our community leaders who helped make this process possible including; Imam Sykes and his wife Nuran from the Islamic Society of Leading American Muslims, the Catholic Charities of Central Florida, the Lutheran Services of Florida, DCF of Orange County and other active community volunteers.

.WING is a new program for refugees, new residents and immigrants.  The goal of the program is to acquaint new community members with the culture, laws and systems in the U.S. so that they can integrate successfully and become productive citizens in their communities.


The Central Florida Arab-American population is growing at a steady pace.  Much of the new residents include refugees from war torn countries in the Middle East such as Iraq, Egypt, and Syria.  There is a clear and great need for a mentoring and welcoming program that will help these new immigrants as they pave their way to a productive presence in Central Florida.


Mentorship is a way to help assist new refugees get settled in the United States. Transitioning to a new country is a difficult process, but through the support of a sponsor, this process can be eased dramatically. Mentoring a refugee or their family is simple, just sign up using the form on this page and we'll contact you shortly regarding the next steps.
